Aces Up Solitaire Rules

Also Known As...

Aces Up solitiare is also known as "Idiot's Delight" and "Aces High" solitaire.

Odds of Winning

The odds of winning Aces Up Solitaire are 1 in 10.

Object of the Game

The object of the game is to remove 48 cards, leaving only Aces in the "Tableau" piles at the top of the game board.

Game Play

To begin the game, remove any card that is of the same suit but lower value than any other face up card. Note that Aces are always high in Aces Up. If there is no such move, click the face down "Stock" card to deal another four cards.

A card is removed by dragging it to the "Disposed" area on the right portion of the game board.

Simply keep removing cards of lower value than other cards of the same suit until the game is won or no other moves are available. Note that any card may be moved to a blank space in the tableau.

Tips

It may be advantageous to uncover high valued cards which are buried. Moreover, you may find that moving Aces into tableau spaces automatically may not be the best strategy. Rather, uncovering buried cards my be the best way to proceed. Using the space to continue the current play before the next four card deal may result in removing more cards and lead to a winning game!
