Object of the Game
The object of the game is to clear all 35 cards (5 rows of 7 cards each) at the top of game. These 35 cards are called the "tableau".
To begin the game, click a card in the bottom row of the 5 rows that has a value either one above or one below the face-up card at the bottom right of the game board. Note: The card values do not "wrap", so Aces are strictly low in value and may not be played on Kings.
Note also that Kings aways end a "run", because nothing may be played on them. Suit does not matter and is therefore completely irrelevant in this game.
If you do not find a card that's one above or one below, simply click the card image to the left side of the bottom of the game board. A card will be moved from the face-down stock pile to the top of the waste pile, face-up. Now try to find a value in the tableau that's either one above or one below this new top waste pile card in value. Continue removing cards in this fashion until you can no longer find a card to remove. If there truly is no move left, the computer will deal the next hole, and play continues as before.
Scoring
The object, similar to the real game of golf, is to get the lowest score possible for each hole. You must play all 9 holes to be able to post a score when you're done.
Game Play
As you play holes, your score for each hole will be automatically recorded in the table found in the lower right portion of the game board. If at any point you have no further moves remaining, the computer will deal the next "hole's" cards. Once you complete the 9th hole, your game is over and you may post your score. (Note: Score posting requires logging in prior to starting the game).
Please note: You must post your score before clicking 'New Game'!
Sound
Sound may be turned off by unchecking the sound checkbox.
