Nestor Rules
Odds of Winning
The odds of winning Nestor Solitaire are 1 in 10.
Object of the Game
The object of the game is to eliminate cards from the board by pairing cards which have equal values (also known as "rank"). You must remove all 52 cards to win a round. Once a round is won, the game continues to the next round. As long as you continue removing all the cards and winning rounds, the game continues!
The 6 rows of 8 cards at the top of the board are called the "Tableau". Note that there are never 2 cards of the same rank in a given Tableau column.
To win, you must clear the 48 cards in the tableau, as well as the remaining 4 cards that make up the "Draw".
Note that there is no limit to the number of rounds you may play--The game continues as long as you continue to clear the board.
Important: To finish a round, you must remove all draw and waste cards, in addition to the 48 cards in the tableau. Remember, there are more points available for pairing cards, even after the tableau is cleared, if you still have cards in the Draw or Waste piles!
Game Play
To start the game, click on 2 tableau cards that have equal values, or a draw card and a tableau card that have equal values. If no such cards are available, clicking on the draw card a second time moves it to the Waste pile. Waste pile cards may also be paired with any other card on the board and removed if they are of equal value. Clicking a highlighted card again will unhighlight it or move it to the Waste if it is in the Draw.
Scoring
Each card removed is worth 10 points. Therefore, removing 2 cards that have equal values increases your score by 20 points!
Bonus Points
Bonus points increase as more rounds are completed! For each round won, you get bonus points of 100 x (round number). So 100 bonus points are awarded for winning the first round, 200 for winning the second round, 300 for winning the third round, etc. As long as you continue to win rounds, the bonus points keep increasing!
Sound
Sound may be turned off by unchecking the sound checkbox. Clicking the sound checkbox again will turn the sound back on.
Posting a Score
Players may post their score for everyone to see! To post a score, you must log in before starting the game, and then click the 'Click to Post Score' button after playing the game. If your score is in the top 10 for the day, you will see it immediately. If your score is not in the top 10, you may see it on the EverydayGames Global Online Live Scoring page.
