Pyramid Rules
Object of the Game
The object of the game is to eliminate cards from the board by pairing cards whose values sum to 13. Note that Kings may be removed without being paired with another card, because Kings are worth 13 by themselves. Numbered cards are worth their face value, Jacks are worth 11 and Queens are worth 12. Therefore you must pair Jacks with Two's and Queens with Aces to remove them. Aces are always low (i.e. value of 1).
Note that there are up to 2 redeals in every round. A redeal is when all the Waste pile cards are moved back to the Draw. This allows you to play the remaining Draw cards again, and perhaps clear the pyramid on the redeal. If you fail to clear the pyramid on the 3rd deal, the round and the game are over. You may post your score once the game is over.
Note that there is no limit to the number of rounds you may play, if you continue to clear the pyrmid in every round.
Important: To finish a deal, you must move all the Draw cards to the Waste pile. Remember, there are more points available for pairing cards, even after the pyramid is cleared!
To start the game, click on 2 pyramid cards that sum to 13, or a draw card and a pyramid card that sum to 13. If no such cards are available, clicking on the draw card a second time moves it to the Waste pile. Waste pile cards may also be paired with any other card on the board and removed if the sum of the 2 cards equals 13. Clicking a non-King card once highlights the card; clicking a highlighted card again will unhighlight it or move it to the Waste if it is in the Draw. Clicking a King once removes it.
Scoring
Each card removed is worth 10 points. Therefore, removing 2 cards that sum to 13 increases your score by 20 points, and removing a King is worth 10 points.
Bonus Points
Bonus points increase as more pyramids are cleared! For each pyramid cleared, you get bonus points of 100 x (round number). So the bonus is 100 for the first round, 200 for the second round, 300 for the third round, etc. As long as you clear pyramids, the bonus points keep increasing!
