Tri-Peaks Pyramids Solitaire Rules
Object of the Game
The object of the game is to clear the pyramids of all cards. Cards are cleared by creating "runs" of cards in which each card in the run is one greater in value or one less in value than the previous card. Suit does not matter. Aces are high and low.
To start a run, click on a face-up card in one of the pyramids which is either one greater or one less than the single face-up card at the bottom right. If there are no cards which may be played, click on the rightmost card in the face-down card sequence at the bottom of the screen to deal a new card.
Scoring
The first card in a run is worth 10 points. Each of the next cards is worth twice the previous amount, until the seventh card. For example, the second and third cards in a run would be worth 20 and 40 points, respectively. The eigth and nineth cards are worth 1.5 times the previous amount, and the tenth and subsequent cards are worth the previous amount plus 100.
Bonus Scoring
Bonus points are awarded for clearing each of the three pyramids. The bonus amounts are always increased 250 points in each round. In the first round, the bonuses are worth 500, 750, and 1000 points. In the second round, the bonuses are worth 750, 1000, and 1250, etc.
Game Play
As long as you win each round, the game continues. If you lose a round, the game is over. When you lose, you'll be asked if you'd like to play again. To play again, click 'New Game'. Sound may be turned off by unchecking the sound checkbox.
