Odds of Winning

The odds of winning Russian Solitaire are 1 in 30.

Object of the Game

The object of the game is to build same-suit sequences of increasing rank, Ace through King, on the 4 "foundations" at the top of the board.

How to Play

To start the game, you may move a card from the tableau to the foundations, or move one or more cards from one tableau pile to another, following the rules below.

The following basic rules govern the movement of cards during the game:

  • Create sequences of cards of the same suit in decreasing rank order;
  • You may move a single card or a card and the cards on top of it to another tableau pile;
  • Only Kings may be moved to an empty space in the tableau;
  • Note that the cards on top of a movable card are always moved along with the card.

Sound

Sound may be turned off by unchecking the "Sound" checkbox.
